Garden Heating and Lighting

Extend the amount of time spent in your outdoor living space

Garden Heating and Lighting

A great way to extend the amount of time spent in your outdoor living space is with the addition of a patio or garden heater.  Even the summer evenings can turn a little chilly as darkness falls, but from early spring through to late autumn – and even into the winter- you could enjoy the garden for longer with a heater on the terrace, patio or decking.

Which Heater

There are several heating methods on the market, with something to suit all tastes.  For example, burn solid fuel in a chimenea or fire pit and enjoy the rustic charms of a real outdoor fire.  Free standing stainless steel gas heaters provide hours of constant heat keeping everyone warm, or for an area near to the house, a wall mounted halogen or electric heater might be an efficient space saving option.

Output

Make sure you choose a model which gives enough output to heat the required area and always look for the most energy efficient model.  You only get what you pay for!

Light Up

And of course while you’re sitting outside on your warm terrace or decking with a few friends, why not make a feature of the garden at night with some clever lighting which showsoff all your hard work in a totally different light!

Light Options

There are so many ways to enhance your garden with lighting:

  • LED lights set into a path, decking or steps make a very attractive feature as well as being practical for safety reasons.
  • Concealed lighting to illuminate a feature tree or architectural plants create real atmosphere in a night garden and make a stunning display.
  • Contemporary downlighters or traditionalstyle lanterns will enhance a wall or front door entrance, giving an inviting welcome home.
  • Not just for Christmas, a string of lights in a tree or along a pergola are always a fun feature.

Set Up

Outdoor and all-weather lighting will require the correct electrical fittings, equipment and installation, so always consult an expert when planning anynew or additional garden lighting.

And remember, apart from the aesthetic value of garden lighting, another great advantage is that it is a real deterrent to intruders.

Invest in some lovely lighting to create that ultimate atmosphere!
