Getting the kids involved in games and activities in the garden is a great way to develop their co-ordination and general fitness in a fun way; and of course dragging them away from the dreaded computer games.
Playing together is important for developing social skills and also to learn the importance of sportsmanship. And of course the whole family can enjoy a bit of exercise outside in the fresh air.
What Games?
Classic games like Croquet, Cricket, Boules, Quoits and Skittlesare still as popular as ever and are ideal for adults and children to play together. To develop different skills or abilities Table Tennis, Badminton and Rounders are great team games for the whole family. And of course a football or rugby ball is always good for a kick about with a few friends and a couple of goalposts.

One for Dad
When Dad hasn’t got enough time to pop down for a round of golf, he can practice that swing and get into the groove with a simple golf net. These are great for practice and no danger to the neighbours!
