Find out the do-not-miss dates for the diary for February 2020…

Big School Birdwatch

Just like the Big Garden Birdwatch (for which you can submit your results until the 16th February), throughout this month you can get involved with the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch!

The idea is that schools from every corner of the UK take part, turning their classes into conservation scientists, and helping to track the ups and downs of birds across the country.

Just be sure to get your schools’ results in by 21st February on the RSPB website!

World Wetlands Day

The 2nd February each year is World Wetlands Day to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet.

On their website you will find materials to download for free and spread the word about this vital source of biodiversity in the UK.

If you’re lost for ideas, don’t fret, here are my top alternatives for roses when gifting flowers this year—for something truly special.

Keep an eye out in my Sunday Mirror column for how we can use flowers in our cooking too!

We’ll be talking about how super veg can grow super kids, so tune in an get my top tips for a veg-tastic February… it’s not to miss.
