My son advised to get these to save over watering my plants and they work a treat, I just test the soil once a week and water when needed, they are so useful and saves harming the plants with over watering
Amazon Customer –
Plants now in great condition. It’s very easy to overwater indoor plants but this simple instrument stops you doing that. No batteries required. Remember to wipe clean with paper tissue – do not run under tap!

This is a good help for watering greenhouse plants, works perfectly
MARY T –
Just what I need for my house plants. Having 2 is handy. Works well stops me overwatering my plants

I bought these as I am terribly forgetful and kept under/over watering my plants. They work really well. I keep them on the shelf next to my indoor plants, and I use them every few days to check the moisture levels in my plants and they work really well. I nearly killed my indoor plants, first by forgetting to water them, and then by over watering them, so I bought these to help me to tell how much water I had given my plants and now my plants are happily. These are such good gadgets to have it you have a bad memory like me.

I have one of these for each greenhouse and they are wonderful for gauging moisture. I prefer this method rather than testing the soil with my finger as it’s just fool proof. Would highly recommend
Amazon Customer –
Better than using my finger which I used to do but when I first got them I overwatered a plant as the needle never approached “wet”. The compost was awash! So with a few more uses they seem a little better but still can’t trust the wet zone. If you are aiming for moist and mid range these do the job. Not for fine tuning your watering though. Oh, dry works though so there is that, saved a plant that had strangely moved into early dry zone even though I’d watered only 2 days before… Si there is that!!

Using these little beauties has taught me that I have been over watering my loved plants hence their not so perfect health. After a few days they are recovering as their roots are not drenched. Sounds obvious as the soil above is dry to tend to water but the soil underneath is still moist hence the over watering. Well worth the money.
Steven Sharpe –
So heady. If it didn’t come in a 2 pack I’d buy another. One upstairs, one down and was great for the outdoor palnts in the hot spells.

The 2 soil moisture meters arrived when due. They are very easy to use and the readings are clear. As we know different plants require different levels of moisture and, as expected, I got dfferent readings from different containers so they appear to be accurate.
