Those the material is thin and arrives a bit bent there’s nothing a good fitter can’t fix. The seal is non existent you will need some seeling caulk and it’s very hard to maintain temperature because of this. During a 10 hour smoke last week I was adjusting the coals every 20 min thanks to its inability to either hold the smoke or pass it up the chimny or to hold the heat because of the same.

Built it solo in about 1 hour, didn’t tighten up fully until completely assembled and checked for flush fit everywhere. Fired it up this afternoon not knowing if the smoker would be usable or if I would have to use it as a barrel BBQ and put coals in the cooking area too but it cooked burgers and lamb chops lovely just using the smoker. Temperature controllable from 100 to 175 no problem if you’ve ever used a woodburner, i’ll just see how long it lasts.. Then will buy a better quality offset smoker cos they’re great!

It is fine for the most part but there are some design issues that you have to deal with:- the thermometer and it’s fixing system are very very poor. unfortunately you cannot remove it – it will leave a whole behind- the air intake door is very poor and sometimes won’t stay in the position you want. Otherwise although it’s made of thin material it seems like will do the job.

Relatively easy to put together. Works as a barbeque. If you’re looking for a smoker, I would highly advise you spend more – the metal is just too cheap and poorly shaped to create the seal necessary.Also, buy a cover, because it will rust immediately. I don’t expect it to last all that long.

build quality could be better but you wont get a better starter smoker/bbq for the price. a few tweaks on the build and this could be perfect (I.e. lid not sitting flush and therefore a lot of smoke/heat is lost)
