this is a great barbeque, the size is great and can cook for up to 8 people, plenty of room for charcoal, the grill is well designed and really easy to clean, hood has a temperature guage and smoke outlet which is well designed and robust, I’ve cooked slow and low & direct and it cooks evenly and the food was amazing – so everything is 5/5..except..I found this BBQ to be way too flimsy, for over £200 I’d expect that when its assembled, according to the instructions which I followed it to be solid, instead it can be wobbled, needs a bit of care when being moved about and generally feels like it could break with a bit of pressureTL;DR – a great cooking experience let down by flimsy leg construction.

Had this for a month or so and have really enjoyed using it. Sold my old gas bbq and opted to go back to charcoal. Flavour of the food is unreal and all the food has been juicy and cooked evenly. It is deceptively big and has a large cooking area. It’s easy to use and so far I have left it in the garden under a heavy duty cover which I bought from a separate company. Just am excellent bbq that performs really well and won’t break the bank. Also, it’s far easier to put together than some people have made out. A pleasure to use.

Purchased this last year as we like Charcoal BBQ’s and wanted one with a hinged lid. First impressions are it cooks well but isn’t the sturdiest and it isn’t especially remarkable. However, we used it through July and Aug without issue. When the summer was over it was cleaned and placed under the Char Broil specific cover and there it remained until May 2023. Except, when it was uncovered it was found that the enamel grills (cooking grill) have rusted to the point they can no longer be used. I queried this with Char Broil who claim its grills are rust resistant but their response was it should have been cleaned otherwise stainless steel rusts. Well 1, it absolutely was cleaned and 2, it isn’t stainless steel, it’s enamel. I’ve asked for them to clarify these points and advise what more a consumer is expected to do to preserve the integrity of the BBQ when not in use, over and above what has been done, but they now won’t respond to any emails (4 sent). So whilst this might seem like a reasonably priced BBQ, be aware, that £170 for only 2 months usage is really not value for money and i cannot recommend this product. Not only are the claims re rust prevention inaccurate but the warranty they offer is apparently worthless and the customer service really poor.

Really smart looking, good size & nice & simple to use. I did a bit of research & this one seemed to get great reviews. A really good choice if like us you wanted something that would last but don’t want to spend silly money. Didn’t disappoint- recommend

Quality is good, I’m surprised how close the bottom charcole grate is to the griddle, but it is a large cooking area, so helps to keep charcoal use to an acceptable level.Feels sturdy and every part feels well made, however a threaded connector did shear off during assembly, it was only at hand pressure so I was a little surprised, it’s a built in thread so can’t replace with a nut and bolt. Have contacted char broil for a spare part, will update if that all goes well. It comes well packaged and overall a completely different beast to a cheap kettle bbq that makes you feel like it is worth the extra money (with the exception of the sheared thread on the ash collector bracket) . I got an Amazon warehouse deal, which was good as new as described, over all I am very happy with the item. I also got the char broil cover to match, quality of that is fine, but no better than an unbranded one, so only buy if it’s on discount.

I’ve used a Weber for the past 16 years and I think the kettleman is way superior. No flare ups, even heat distribution, and the briquettes burn all the way to ash so you get a nice long cooking time. You can tell they’ve really thought this through and designed a kettle that’s easy to use and easy to clean.

Edit! I did manage to get in touch with Charbroil and they replaced the damage part FOC. The parts arrived quickly and fitted easy. Now a very happy man!The instructions are very easy to follow and all the parts are every clearly labeled. However, the screws are really poor quality, a number were badly threaded and two sheared off during assembly. I followed the help pages to Char-Broil and it was impossible to get a message to them based on the input fields – no matter what I did I got errors. The screws that failed were on the ash catcher which could render the item unusable, others have also reported the same issue if you read the reviews. Such a shame.

I was a little hesitant in trying this brand as it was unknown to me but the lightning deal was too good to miss. I couldn’t be happier. The product comes well packaged and the hardest part of the assembly is taking it out of the box as they are fitted perfectly with the packaging for protection. The metal holes were drilled to perfection and the little pieces come individually packed and labelled for each step.Childs play to put together and took a non-DIYer just over 30 min to put together with a spanner and pliers.Once built and set up it is quite heavy but rolls easily on the wheels. Everything oozes quality. There is even a beginners guide to barbecuing and inventive ways to use the coals with a few tips for even a seasoned braai-master.Highly recommended and actually great value as the quality is right up there with far more expensive barbecues.

Took a good few weeks to arrive as it didn’t give me a delivery date when I ordered it so had to make a phone call to Amazon after 2 weeks and was then shipped straight away. It’s only been used once as the weather hasn’t been great since it arrived but I have to say it’s very sturdy and cooked our steak perfectly. Was easy to put together and very sturdy. can see it lasting many many years.
For the Love of God –
Hubby and I assembled this in less than 30 minutes without rushing. It is much larger than I envisioned but better too big than too small. Assembled, she is quite a site!! I believe this is the start of a beautiful friendship:)My only disappointment was how much packaging and styrofoam waste came with it. Hopefully, in time, packaging can be just as useful but made with better materials.
