I does take a couple of hours to assemble but there’s good instructions and the bolts are very well packed in a labelled bubble card (pictured).I’m not particularly experienced at barbecuing but I cooked for eleven people yesterday and everyone seemed really enthusiastic about the food. It’s really useful that you can raise & lower the coals to adjust the cooking temperature and the keep warm shelf works well.When assembling I found it best to lay the bolt card picture side up and peel each compartment open with a pointed knife when needed.It rolls along nice and smoothly on the big wheels if you want to move it about, even when hot.I was in two minds about four/five stars for sturdiness. It’s adequate and if it had heavier metal it wouldn’t be so manoeuverable and as I want to keep it in the shed it suits me. It looks really nice on the patio

BBQ is fantastic, the cover that comes with it has faded terribly in the sun over 8 weeks. Started black and is almost white on the top now. Bits where the sun doesn’t reach are still jet black

Meticulously checked all items were present and apparently in tact before commencing assembly. Got half way (one hour) through careful, methodical assembly to the part where the mechanism to raise and lower the internal shelf was required, only to discover, after much poring over the instructions and agonising over the part, that one end has been welded on upside down making it unfit for purpose. Now have a half assembled barbecue taking up the living room, with remaining parts strewn across the floor, no way of continuing and impossibility of disassembling and fitting it all back in the boxes to return.UPDATE – seller replaced the faulty part within 2 days of reporting it, so great response. Sadly it had already ruined an expensive birthday surprise.

Few month’s since I purchased this bbq I am still very happy with it- good quality material, easy to assemble ( takes about 1 hr); perfect size for large family or hosting a few guests- but what makes this bbq special is the height adjustable coal tray allowing for some heat control – only negative point: not easy to clean cosl tray however easy to clean rest of bbq- would buy again

Got this as it was one of the largest grills Amazon sell. Took a bit of putting together for one person. The last step is to attach the lid to the base. Excited to see it all come together I found that the lid didn’t sit flush on the base and had a large gap on one side. I followed the instructions to the letter including the note on the back to loosen the bults to adjust. After inspection found that my lid was badly warped straight out of the box. Fortunately I managed to manually twist it back into shape, otherwise the BBQ wouldn’t have worked at all and it would have had to be returned with much hassle. I’ve now used it 3 times and it works well. Some smoke does still escape through the join between the lid and base but not too bad. The materials are all a bit cheap, I’m not expecting it to last more than a few years. The adjustable shelf looks quite flimsy, and twists a bit if you put coal only on one side. For £220 I expect it to be a bit more robust. That said it’s done a good job so far, it looks the part and the cast iron grill is great with loads of space. I fed a group of 20 adults yesterday with little effort!

It’s a great bbq but be aware you must get the side panels the right way round or your final grill in lid will not work. This means a virtual complete rebuild. Such a pain when a simple warning in the instructions would fix this. The instructions are very complex but also basic and you need to be very careful on which piece comes where..
