Not the most pleasant smell so ok for the end of the garden. I wouldn’t recommend it close to the house if you’ve got a sensitive smell.

This is quite dark if used as a top dressing on its own it makes bright green plants stand out, I initially worked it in the top layer it does have a bit of a smell presumably from the organic matter, however as I was using this more to feed and improve soil I then covered with a straw mulch which stopped any smell. Plants seem happy and healthy.
