Green revolution f1 pak choi seed by Mr. Fothergill’s. Long season baby leaf. Compact variety that is slow to bolt and is tolerant to yellowing and disease. Very versatile, it can be grown for baby leaf all the year round (with protection) and produces mature heads from early summer to autumn. Useful Information: Vitamin C; Suitable for contained gardens; Oriental garden Sow and grow: Outdoors: sow thinly, February-October where they are to crop, 1.5 cm (1/2-inch) deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-dug, fertile soil, which has already been watered. Sow May to August for mature heads or baby leaf. Allow 40 cm (16-inch) between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Keep well watered in dry spells. Harvest unthinned as baby leaves, or thin to 25 cm (10-inch) apart to produce mature plants. Regular sowings, made every two to three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply. Baby leaf crops can also be sown February to May and September to October under cloches or fleece. Harvest: mature heads between June and October and baby leaf from April to December. Hints and tips: For baby leaves, take a few at a time from each plant. The leaves will regrow, allowing for two or three more pickings.

These germinate well and quickly, even outside in April; don’t need to do anything special though I do grow mine in pots/planters to keep them away from slugs. Produce tasty pak choi for stir frying. (Mine did run to seed very quickly last year, so make sure you don’t sow too many for your needs at one time.)Good luck & enjoy.
