Description
Product Description
Radish French breakfast 3 seed by Mr. Fothergill’s. Easy and fast, good flavour. The most popular traditional variety for its mildness and crisp, tender tankard shaped roots with a white tip.
Useful Information: Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit; Easy to grow variety; Vitamin C; Suitable for contained gardens
Sow and grow: Outdoors, sow thinly, February-September, where they are to crop, 1.5 cm (1/2-inch) deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained, fertile soil, which has already been watered. Allow 23 cm (9-inch) between rows. Early sowings, especially those in February, will benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 7-10 days. Water well until plants are established. Thin only if plants are overcrowded. Harvest: April-October.
Hints and tips: Regular watering ensures fast growth and prevents roots going ‘woody.’ Radishes are best sown ‘little and often.’
Care and Cultivation: Regular sowings, made every two to three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply.

I keep sowing and they keep growing into tasty radishes. About 95% germination rate so I’m happy.

Planted a few weeks ago and 50% germinated, although we have only had one week of sunshine. Will have to see what the end product is like so fingers crossed,
