Useful Information: Easy to grow variety; Suitable for contained gardens; Salad bar; Oriental vegetables
Sow and grow: Outdoors: sow thinly, March-August where they are to crop, 1.5 cm (1/2-inch) deep, directly into finely-prepared, fertile, moisture-retentive soil, which has already been watered. Allow 25 cm (10-inch) between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Thin out to 20 cm (8-inch) apart. No thinning is necessary if only baby leaves are required. Water well until plants are established. Regular sowings, made every two to three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply. Harvest: April-October.
Hints and tips: Cut a few leaves from each plant, perfect for baby leaf type salads. They will grow back for up to four cuts. Cut the whole heads of mature plants.

I experimented with the seeds a lot of them set and I have had a few already on my salad .,,but saying that a lot of them failed as they didn’t survive their growing..

The seeds germinate successfully, these arrived early May, and now in late June I have already munched on a leaf of tasty lettuce. I am going to use the cut and come again method, and only harvest the full head later on in Summer, so should get a very good yield. Very pleased with these seeds!
Jane –
Planted them as about to go away and as expected they have germinated. ;-) . Reliable seeds and usually crop well. However, not impressed by seller sending seeds that were already 4 months past their use by date.
Emma P. –
After more than 3 weeks planted in a very fertile allotment not even one of them has sprout. Waste of time and space.
Johnny McMillan –
Used them before, easy to grow either straight into a prepared bed or in plug pots and transplanted into their final resting place when ready. It’s possible to be eating these lettuce in under a month such is their vigor. Bought a few packets from this Amazon seller and they arrived in jig time, in fact I’ve sowed a few already lol.
Win Clark –
Have sown seeds and hopefully will have plenty of lettuce all year round. Easy to grow. Can only see green ones and no red ones. Packaging was fine.

Carol Budagowski –
Arrived on time and well packaged.Planted a small amount of these and they sprouted within 5 days. I was cutting them within 3 weeks, amazing. Still have seeds for about 3 more showings. Would certainly buy again.
Catherine –
Great brand of seeds and always reliable. Highly recommend.
Dee Strachan –
I have grown these lettuces for the past few years. To begin with i use the young leaves, then as they develop I pull up whole lettuces which are great. A really good vegetable garden basic.
