Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 25 cm (10-inch) apart, during May-June when frosts are over. Allow 45 cm (18-inch) between rows. Water well until plants are established. Harvest: June-October. Hints and tips: In hot weather, mist the flowers with tepid water in the evening to help pods form.
