Electron sweet William flower seed by Mr. Fothergill’s. Useful Information: Partial shade; Suitable for containers; Suitable for cutting; Fragrant variety
Sow and Grow: Sow outdoors, April-July, in a seed bed, 0.5 cm (1/4-inch) deep, into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Thin seedlings to 5 cm (2-inch) apart, when large enough to handle. Keep moist and weed free. Plant out to flowering position, September-November, allowing 23 cm (9-inch) between plants. Flowers: May to July, the following year.
Hints and Tips: Pinch out growing tip when approx. 1 cm (4-inch) tall for bushy plants and more flowers. Remove dead heads to prolong the flowering season.

Usually Sweet William are easy to grow from seed. This is the first time I have tried Fothergills and not this variety before, but very few have germinated. I have had to go to my usual supplier to get some more seed.
