I am visiting the place I was born to help raise money from charity, Thrive.
I was born in Devizes, Wiltshire and spent many of my childhood holidays there fishing in the canal, playing on the disused railway line and hunting for slow worms, newts and frogs!
On Tuesday 18th October at 7:30pm, I’ll be at St Andrew’s Church talking about the life and times of a gardener from Devizes! I’ll be taking attendees on a journey which stretches the interpretation of the garden to new and exciting levels. I’ll be talking behind the scenes of garden make overs, and some television adventures that will both shock and amuse.
I’ll also tell tales of some of my favourite gardens I’ve created at RHS shows such as Chelsea, Hampton and BBC Gardeners World Live, some of which include a garden full of diamonds, a piranha garden, the garden for the Hells Angels, The Naked Garden and the Da Vinci landscape.
Tickets are £8, and all the proceeds will be going to the charity I’m an ambassador for, Thrive. If you’re interested, you can pick tickets up from Devizes Books, or email email@example.com. Tickets will also be available on the door.
