Welcome to my live blog of the 2014 Young Gardeners of the Year competition in association with the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community. Six of the UK’s top horticultural, design and landscaping colleges spent a week building show gardens and the results were revealed to the judges at the launch of the Ideal Home Show on Friday 14 March.

Here I took you through all the behind-the-scenes action as it happened at Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre – see the finished gardens and find out who won the title!
