I’m going to be speaking at TV presenter Martin Roberts’s marvellous Achieve weekend at 2pm on Sunday 14th October 2018 at Brunel’s Old Station in Bristol.

To tie in with the weekend’s theme of Health, Wealth and Happiness, I’ve put together an intriguing talk entitled ‘The Power of Plants for Better Health.’ Grab yourself some tickets and come along and say “hi!” – the weekend promises to be buckets of fun with interactive workshops, grass roots exhibitors and a unique set of expert talks all designed to inspire you to do what it takes achieve success in your own life.

Martin, the mastermind behind the event, said:

“To achieve success in any aspect of our life is hard – it takes commitment, sacrifice, encouragement and determination – all of which can be natural deterrents to success. Achieve has been designed as a motivational event to inspire visitors to take action, regardless of their age or social circumstances. Nothing happens if we sit still yet knowing where to start is often a stumbling block. I am committed to delivering cutting edge and original speaker content and exhibitors so that Achieve becomes one of the key ‘go-to’ annual family events.”

My talk, ‘The Power of Plants for Better Health,’ will take audiences on an intriguing and encouraging journey through the latest research into how getting close to nature can positively impact our mental and physical health.

In today’s technology-overloaded world, I see plants and gardening as the antidote to the stress caused by our modern lives. Give yourself a chance to get away from the screens, give your eyes a break from blue lights, breathe in some freshly produced oxygen and turn your indoor or outdoor space, wherever you are, into a lush garden of peace and tranquillity.

Other celebrities who will be appearing alongside me include ski jumper Eddie “The Eagle,” comedian and actor Helen Lederer, rugby union referee Nigel Owens MBE, TV personality Calum Best and MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace.
