Some places stay with you long after the bags are unpacked. Cyprus is one of those unforgettable places.
I recently stayed at Asimina Suites Hotel in Paphos, run by Constantinou Bros. Undoubtedly, it was everything I hoped for, from sunshine, sea air, to nature and serenity too. However, this five-star, adults-only hotel offered more than luxury. It gave me the chance to unwind and reconnect. Now, I’m thrilled to offer you the chance to experience it too.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Asimina Suites
Before I go any further, I want to thank the incredible team at Asimina Suites. Their warmth and attention to detail stood out. They looked after every part of the trip with genuine care. From arrival to departure, their hospitality never missed a beat. It’s the kind of welcome you don’t forget.

Also, the hotel itself is nestled right on the coastline in Paphos, and the views are as stunning as you’d imagine. My suite was spacious, elegant, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the sea breeze and golden sunsets every evening.
It’s an adults-only, five-star hotel that knows how to deliver calm, class, and comfort without ever feeling formal or fussy. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool or walking through the gardens, every part of the hotel invites you to slow down.

Exploring Cyprus: Day by Day
A Half-Day Guided Tour of Paphos
Firstly, as part of the experience, I joined a half-day guided tour of Paphos, which included a visit to the Paphos Archaeological Park. The main feature of the site is its remarkable Roman mosaics, some of the finest anywhere in the Mediterranean.
Intricate, colourful, and beautifully preserved, they tell ancient stories through scenes of gods, heroes, and legends. Plus, walking through the site felt like stepping into Cyprus’s past, surrounded by craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.
Mountain Walk – Troodos and Omodos
Then, we travelled inland to explore the Troodos Mountains and the traditional village of Omodos. It was a world away from the coastline; cooler, greener, and full of timeless character.
Next, we enjoyed a traditional Cypriot lunch with fresh bread, grilled halloumi, olives, and slow-cooked meats. Finally, we walked among olive groves and spotted wild herbs growing along the paths.
Monastery and Sacred Relic
Near Omodos, we visited the Monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest monasteries in Cyprus. Then, inside, I saw a sacred relic which is believed to be a piece of the rope used to bind Christ at the crucifixion.
The atmosphere was peaceful and deeply moving, filled with quiet reverence and gentle light. Plus, beautiful woodwork, stone arches, and a cool courtyard added to the sense of stillness.
Tomb of the Kings
No visit to Paphos is complete without a walk through the Tomb of the Kings, a vast archaeological site dating back to the 4th century BC. Carved from solid rock, these underground tombs were the resting places of aristocrats, not kings as the name suggests.
Still, the grandeur and scale are breathtaking. Also, it’s a solemn, awe-inspiring place that connects you to Cyprus’s ancient roots.
Sea Adventures and Local Crafts
One highlight was sailing with Paphos Sea Cruises aboard the Ocean Vision. The hospitality was warm, and the coastal views were simply breathtaking from the deck. Later, I did some scuba diving, where the calm waters revealed a quiet, colourful world below the surface.
Also, we visited a traditional winery with a working stone press, followed by a stop in a local town. There, I watched pottery and textile makers at work, a brilliant glimpse into Cyprus’s living craft traditions.
Cyprus – A Place That Has It All
Cyprus was full of surprises; one moment ancient and spiritual, the next full of fun, nature, and sunshine. It’s a place where you can dive, hike, sip wine, and walk through history all in one week.
Also, the Asimina Suites Hotel made everything even better; a quiet, luxurious base to rest and recharge. And you could be next to experience it.
