Your Garden in April

Hi there,

April is a particularly exciting month in the garden. Growth is gathering pace, blossom is putting on a wonderful show, and borders are filling with fresh colour and texture.

It is also a busy and rewarding time for gardening jobs. This month is ideal for sowing hardy annuals, planting potatoes, dividing established perennials, and keeping on top of weeds while they’re still easy to manage.

Spring containers can look particularly striking in April too. Tulips, wallflowers, forget-me-nots, and violas can all help to brighten patios, doorsteps, and outdoor seating areas, while herbs and salad crops are well worth planting for fresh pickings in the weeks ahead.
