Give your lawn its final cut

(3 easy steps)

November is likely going to be your last window for a tidy mow of the lawn before December. Grass grows whilst temperatures are above 5°C, so likely won’t resume growth until early spring.

1. Check the conditions – Pick a dry, unfrozen day. Make sure the lawn is clear of leaves and other debris, and the grass is still growing.
2. Set the Mower – Raise the cut to about 2-4cm and avoid mowing wet or frosty grass.
3. Finish & Pause – Stop once growth ceases. If December stays mild, an occasional high cut is fine. Then, return to regular mowing once growth begins again in spring.

Top Tip: After this last cut, crisp up the edges with a half-moon edger. Clean edges keep the lawn looking neat all winter without more mowing.
