June Garden Inspiration
Hi there,
June brings a great deal to enjoy in the garden. Long days, fuller planting, and the first real signs of sumer all make it a rewarding time to step outside and see how things are developing.
A particularly satisfying job for this time of year is taking softwood cuttings. It’s a simple way to make more plants for free, and many favourites like geraniums and forsythia respond well now. You can also plant clematis now, choosing a spot where the roots stay shaded while the top growth enjoys the sun.
There’s plenty more seasonal advice in my latest monthly blogs below, with practical ideas, timely guidance, and simple ways to keep your garden looking its best through June.
I’ll be attending Home and Garden Show Ireland in Antrim this month, taking place from the 12th to 14th of June 2026 at Antrim Castle Gardens. It’s set to be a great show with plenty of inspiration for gardeners to enjoy.
I’m always keen to hear what you would like to see more of in the newsletter, so do feel free to reply and share your ideas.
Enjoy your garden,
David
